Dispatch 004 - New year and Mexico trip

December 28th, 2025

Hello there 👋

Welcome to the December issue of Limen.I'm writing to you from a plane flying towards Mexico City (it seems there’s a pattern here) and, even though it’s Saturday, I preferred to take advantage of these 12 hours.

So, what’s going on?

The very first thing, as you might have guessed, is that I’m about to wander through Mexico and that I set up a pop-up newsletter dedicated to this trip. If you like to follow along, you can read more here.

Remember, you need to subscribe even if you are subscribed to Limen.

It’s my very first time in Latin America, and I’m so excited to immerse myself in this new culture and fill my belly with tacos.

During the last weeks, I’ve also been working on an iOS app for travel and street photographers. I’ve been a bit obsessed with that that it took away some time from making photography (do you remember when I wrote that I’m good at filling myself with things to do?). If you want to give your input, please take a minute to fill this survey.

Looking at the year to come, I feel excited and scared at the same time. As you read in the last dispatch, I’m going through some changes in my professional career. I will have to handle carefully my finances while developing my documentary and street photography practice. The ones that know me well, this would be very challenging for me. So my one wish for next year would be that I’ll be able to be mindful of my spending and push through this new chapter.

Before leaving you with some photos from December, tell me. How’s your end of the year going? What is one thing you wish for next year?

Speak to you next year,

— M
