Somewhere else

Someone once told me that once you leave your hometown and start living in different places, you're doomed to always miss something from somewhere else.

For some of us — freelancers, remote wanderers — work and life blend into one shared experience. Life, for us, is what stretches between longing and belonging. As we move through cities and time zones, we carry with us fragments of places we've called “home.”

This is a journey through the cities that have held this blended space the longest — Ancona (✣), Berlin (❈), and Barcelona (✽).
